One Way
Availability: Our Price: £12.67
Produced by John Hartley “One Way” is the latest studio recording from Andy Bromley. Fast emerging as one of today’s most gifted worship leaders this, his second Kingsway Music album further displays Andy’s heart for God.
Lead off track “Glorious Majesty” (co-written with John Hartley and Gary Sadler), with its big chorus is a slice of Westlife style pop. Next up are the Graeme Clark penned “Holy God You reign” and Chris Donahue collaboration “Clothed in Splendour”. The driving pop of both tunes hint at the work of Jars of Clay and U2 respectively. Producer John Hartley and Susan Ashton are Andy’s creative partners on the reflective “You are everything” where event favourite, the soaring piano ballad “Your Name” represents one of only two solo writing ventures on “One Way”.
Close friend and mentor Chris Bowater adds his artistry to the beautifully simple “Healing Grace” while “Wonderful Saviour” with its compelling chorus is a rework of the J M Harris hymn of praise.
Elsewhere the Matt Redmanish “Because of You”, “Be Magnified”, a collaboration with the Livingstone Collectives Steve Fortunato and “You are near”, the other Bromley solo outing, are pop garnished worship songs of immense proportions.
The poetic Townend and Irish Getty are represented with the inclusion of “Speak O Lord” and the album closes with Beatles/Lennon-like “This Kingdom”. Throughout “One Way” Andy’s voice is in great form and fully complements John Hartley’s colourful vibrant arrangements. Truly a great worship recording.
